The 'King of Football' and legendary player Pele has left the world at the age of 82. He was suffering from kidney and prostate cancer for many years.
Pele's condition had been critical for several years, while doctors were hopeless about his condition. Two weeks ago, Pele was once again admitted to the ICU. Three days earlier, he was discharged from the hospital after an operation for colon cancer.
The Brazilian scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 matches in his 21-year career, including 77 goals in 92 matches for Brazil. Which is also a world record.
