According to sources, this syrup was made by the Indian pharmacy Maiden Pharmaceuticals, whose factory is located in the Indian city of Haryana. 


According to the Indian Express report, 4 syrups made by the Indian company have been proven to be deadly, including Promethazine Oral Solution, Kofexmalin Baby Cough Syrup, Makoff Baby Cough Syrup, and Magrip N Cold Syrup. 

According to the research conducted by the World Health Organization, the number of chemicals in all these syrups is high, which poses a threat to human health. 

The agency revealed that diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol can cause abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty urinating, headache, mental retardation, and kidney damage in humans.
