Shahi dal

Ingredients


White mash dal = ½ cup (soak)

Moong ki dal = half a cup

Gram dal = half a cup

Ghee = 1 cup

Ground turmeric = 1 teaspoon

Crushed Red Chilli = 1 tsp

Salt = to taste

Almonds = 8 (washed and peeled)

White Cumin = 1 tsp

Onion = 2 medium size (chopped)

Tomatoes = 2 pcs (chopped)

Ginger garlic = chopped

Coriander = for garnishing

Fennel, fenugreek seeds, ground coriander = one teaspoon


Composition:


Soak all the pulses overnight, clean and boil and mash. Put ghee in a separate pot and add onions and fry until golden. Add salt, coriander, fennel, fenugreek seeds, tomatoes, and all the spices, and fry well. Mix the mashed dal with the spices and cook for 15 minutes. Now prepare the bug. Add red chilies, chopped ginger, garlic, curry leaves, and cumin seeds to the remaining ghee and make a paste and add it to the dal. 


Garnishing

Add chopped green coriander and serve the dal hot.
